Blues For Bill Basie - Ben Webster - The Soul Of Ben Webster (CD)

A CD that features Ben Webster, Harry Edison and Johnny Hodges has got to be worth a listen, and this is the case here. This CD contains 3 long playing records, so to get all 3 on this double CD is a bargain. The music is superb, mainstream jazz at its best. My suggestion is if this is your type of jazz, buy it/5(23).

Ben Webster - The Soul of Ben Webster () Written by bluesever Thursday, 20 December - This two-CD set is slightly misnamed. Not only does it feature the tenor stylings of the great Ben Webster, it also contains a full album by trumpeter Harry "Sweets" Edison called GEE, BABY.

I love this two CD collection by Ben Webster and others. It is an easy five stars. Released in , the one by Ben Webster. The other two LPs include Ben as a guest. One is by Harry Edison and the other by Mr. Smooth, John Hodges. The latter included some great solos by Roy Eldridge.
